Jean Grosperrin Bons Bois 25 Years Old

a
Deep mahogany in color with coppery hues. A small-batch release from a single producer (single cask, single origin), traditionally distilled in the Charentais style, aged for a very long time in oak barrels (25 years), without intensive filtration, and with minimal intervention. The aroma is dominated by dried figs, dates, and orange peel, complemented by tobacco, aged leather, and hazelnut, as well as black tea, cocoa, a slightly salty minerality, and old oak. The palate is dry, complex, structured, and elegant. The finish is very long, dry and spicy, with a hint of bitterness and minerality. Pairs well with cigars and dark chocolate. We recommend serving it with game meat, duck liver, and aged cheeses.
