Deep dark red in color. A second wine. Aged for 12 months, approximately 35% in new French oak.
The aroma is dominated by black currant, blackberry, black cherry, and red berries, complemented by cedar, tobacco, cocoa, chocolate, pepper, licorice, bay leaf, and herbal notes, with an elegant, fresh, and silky texture.
The palate is fuller than average, juicy, and well-balanced. The finish is long, berry-forward, with a slightly spicy aftertaste.
It pairs well with beef, lamb, duck, and grilled meats. We recommend serving it with beef tenderloin, duck breast, lamb chops, and grilled vegetables.
