The 2022 Beaune Premier Cru comes from France, from the Beaune area in the heart of Burgundy. Cuvée Dames Hospitalières is an elegant and characterful wine that reflects Burgundy’s winemaking traditions and the finer, more nuanced side of the Pinot Noir grape. The wine was made and bottled by the renowned Burgundy house Faiveley. On the nose you may find ripe cherries, raspberries and wild berries, complemented by delicate floral notes, spice and a light earthiness. On the palate the wine is elegant and well balanced, with fresh acidity and fine tannins. The finish is long and nuanced, bringing out the berry character of Pinot Noir and the elegance typical of Burgundy. This wine pairs superbly with duck, roast chicken, veal and wild mushroom dishes. It also goes well with aged cheeses and classic French dishes.
