The aroma is dominated by bitter herbs and citrus peel, complemented by licorice and spices, as well as caramel and orange peel. The flavor is complex, with a balance of bitterness and sweetness. The finish is long, bitter, and herbaceous. It pairs well as a digestif, aperitif, and in cocktails. We recommend serving it with dark chocolate, nuts, pastries, and cheeses.
