Red in color with amber highlights. A fortified red Port. Aged in oak barrels for several years, reserve-style.
The aroma is dominated by nuts, dried fruit, and figs, complemented by raisins, tobacco, caramel, and vanilla, with a balance of sweetness and acidity and a smooth texture.
The taste is sweet, moderately full-bodied, and rounded. The finish is persistent, with a warm, nutty aftertaste.
It pairs well with foie gras, goat cheese with apple compote, and exotic fruits. We recommend serving it with a cheese platter, fruit salad, and a caramel dessert.
