Deep, dark ruby in color. A traditional Vintage Port. Fermented in fermentation vats and lagars, followed by fortification. Aged in casks for about 2 years before bottling.
The aroma is dominated by black cherry, plum, and wild berries, complemented by chocolate, licorice, dried herbs, and leather, with a velvety texture, strong structure, and ripe tannins.
The palate is rich, powerful, and silky, with great concentration. The finish is long, elegant, and spicy.
Pairs well with Stilton, dark chocolate, and cigars. We recommend serving it with a dessert of chocolate fondant, blue cheese, and black plums.
