Deep, inky purplish-red in color. Aged for 21 months, approximately 50% in new French oak barrels.
The aroma is dominated by black cherry, black currant, and blackberry, complemented by licorice, cedar, cigar box, toasted bread, dark chocolate, violets, and subtle spices, with a powerful yet elegant and creamy texture.
The palate is full-bodied, silky, and concentrated. The finish is long, dry, and dignified.
Pairs well with beef, lamb, game, and aged cheeses. We recommend serving it with ribeye, roast lamb, venison, and Comté.
